Hospital Manager


Tracy Millay

Tracy is happy to have joined Village East Animal Hospital in 2015. She’s been in the veterinary field since 1985 and honestly enjoys working with the wonderful team of VEAH. She genuinely believes this group of Doctors and support team provide excellent medicine and compassionate care, always treating your pet(s) as their own.

In her spare time Tracy enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, kayaking, and listening to live music. Although in the past she’s had a variety of pets including horses, goats, chickens and dogs, she currently has one calico kitty name “Fatty Patty”.

Tracy truly enjoys blending her love of animals with her work; she not only has a sincere enthusiasm for helping your fur babies, but their families as well.

Veterinary Technician


Danielle Himsel

Dani has worked at Village East Animal Hospital as an RVT for over five years. She started out as the kennel technician, but in 2013 received her associate’s degree in veterinary technology from Harrison College. She is also a solider in the Indiana Army National Guard. She has two dogs, Juno and L.J. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Luke, trying new restaurants, and traveling.



Karen is originally from Michigan, having arrived in this area in 2008. She has worked as a technician in Florida, Italy, and Australia. Her passion is horses, but she loves cats and dogs too. Karen has 5 cats, 2 dogs and various number of horses living at her home in Kentucky. In her spare time Karen is very active with The Horse Rescue of Robards. She also enjoys spending time with her husband. When time allows Karen loves to go scuba diving.


Cassidy Tanguay

Cassidy joined Village East in February of 2016. She was born and raised in Evansville, IN and graduated from Harrison College in October 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She received her RVT license in April of 2016. She has a lab-coonhound mix named Jaci, and two cats, Angel and Freckles. In her spare time, Cassidy enjoys walking her dog, hanging with friends, and reading.


Lea Blaser

Lea graduated from Harrison College with an associates degree in veterinary technology in 2015 and has been working as an RVT for three years. She joined the Village East team in April 2017. Lea was born and raised on the west side of Evansville, where she lives with her fiancée Sam and a menagerie of animals consisting of four dogs, two cats, and a bunny rabbit. In her spare time Lea enjoys volunteering for the teen ministry at her  church,  music, Ford Mustangs,  and Reitz  football games. 


Angela Kroeger

Angela joined Village East Animal Hospital in June of 2016. She graduated from Purdue University in 1992 and has been a small animal veterinary technician ever since.  Angela is a native of Newburgh, IN where she still resides with her 3 Pomeranians – Abella, Pippa and Charlotte and Yellow Labrador, Millie. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, reading, and  has an in home cookie decorating business.

Angela received Round of Paws award in December of 2016. She was nominated by her by her peers for this award. We are very proud of her constant hard work and dedication. Her knowledge is invaluable.


Rachael Edwards, Lead Client Service Specialist

Rachael Edwards has been a member of the Village East Team since November 2012. She graduated from Boonville High School in 2006. She resides in Newburgh IN. with her daughter Kylee. She has two dogs, Khloe and Hamby. In her free time she enjoys going to the movies with her daughter and spending time traveling. 


Kayla Lowry

Kayla has been working as a veterinary assistant since 2006 and is originally from Grove City Ohio. She graduated with a degree in Natural Science in 2013 from Shawnee State University. Kayla is currently working towards her veterinary technician degree through the Penn Foster program. Kayla joined the Village East team in December 2017 after moving from Ohio.

She has a passion for movies and spending time with her husband. She also enjoys going on walks and playing outside with her dog. She has a Golden Retriever named Tillo and Calico named Autumn.


Ashley Hampton

Ashley joined Village East Animal Hospital March of 2016 and graduated from Harrison College with an Associate’s degree in April of 2016. She enjoys relaxing evenings at home with her 9-year-old black lab mix, Mia, and her domestic long hair cat, Stella. Her favorite hobbies include lying by the pool, playing “Go Fish” with her son, and reading thriller novels by Stephen King. She wishes to continue her education by expanding her knowledge in either dentistry of physical therapy for animals.


Brittney Newcomb

Brittney has been working as a receptionist at Village East since the summer of 2017. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband and three kids. Also, she enjoys going to the races in Chandler and traveling with family. When asked what she loves about her job, she says working with the clients, meeting new people and holding the pets is her favorite.


Jennifer Furlong

Jennifer Furlong has been a member of the Village East Animal Hospital Team since March of 2016. Jennifer has a great love for animals, especially the small fluffy variety. Jennifer enjoys spending her free time traveling to gymnastics meets with her granddaughter Haley and participating in any type of group activity with fellow staff members, family, and friends.

Chrissie Roos, Lead Kennel Technician

Chrissie has been the Lead Kennel Technician here at Village East since December 2013. She grew up on Evansville’s Westside and graduated from Reitz and Ivy Tech. She is a member of The Turning Pointe United Methodist Church and enjoys volunteer work in the community.

Chrissie loves pets of all kinds. She has a certified emotional therapy dog, Sugy, who is a blue Staffordshire terrier and a bearded dragon, Leela. She looks forward to working with you and your pets!

Chrissie received an NVA Excellence Award in August of 2017. She was nominated by her peers for this award. This is the time a Village East employee has received this award.


Molly Kissel

Molly has been an employee of Village East since her Freshman year of high school. She is currently majoring in Mathematics at the University of Southern Indiana and plans to pursue a career as an actuary. She has one dog, Jacks, who loves to go on adventures with her. During her free time, Molly enjoys outdoor activities and reading.


Macci Keller

Macci has been working at VEAH as a kenell assistant since April 2017. She attends William Henry Harrison High School. Macci hopes to one day attend Purdue University and study veterinary medicine. She has two dogs, Samy and Sosa, and a cat named Jagger.


MacKenzie Murphy

MacKenzie just started at Village East. She is a resident of Evansville and attends Reitz High School. MacKenzie loves all animals; horses are her favorite. She has taken care and trained horse, and started riding when she was only four. She has always wanted to become a veterinarian and is looking forward to taking care of all your four legged friends.



Owie is Village East Animal Hospital’s 18 year old beloved clinic cat.  Before brightening our days at the hospital, Owie resided with Dr. Max Smith and his family.  He now spends his days snoozing away on one of his many beds around the office.  Owie enjoys attending our staff meetings and joining us for lunch breaks. He often takes weekend vacations to Dr. Miyakawa’s house where he likes to take over her master suite.  He is loved by all of us.
